Our principal and staff

Our dedicated staff place each child’s growth, wellbeing and belonging at the centre of everything we do. By working together, we create an inclusive school where every learner can shine.

Welcome from our principal

Welcome to Thornleigh West Public School.

We believe that every child has the potential for remarkable growth when they feel truly known, supported, and inspired. As Relieving Principal, my deepest commitment is to ensure that our school is a place where learning is joyful, relationships are strong, and every student is nurtured with care, high expectations, and an unwavering belief in their unique potential.

At Thornleigh West, connection matters. We know that people thrive when they feel they belong, and this belief shapes everything we do. Our dedicated staff bring warmth, expertise, and a deep commitment to knowing each student, recognising their strengths, and partnering closely with families to create a safe and confident environment where every learner is encouraged to take risks and grow.

We are proud of our whole-child approach. While academic achievement is important, we equally value fostering resilience, creativity, strong identity, cultural understanding, and wellbeing in every child.

Our beautiful bushland campus offers a unique setting that encourages curiosity, exploration, and calm, a perfect environment to connect with nature, with each other, and with our community.

It is an honour to lead a school where kindness, learning, and community spirit flourish side by side. Thank you for joining us as partners in inspiring, nurturing, and supporting every child who walks through our gates.

Sharon Oscroft,

Relieving Principal
