About our Uniform
Thornleigh West Public School (TWPS) students wear their uniform with pride. The TWPS uniform has been specifically designed for our school and provides a smart and comfortable uniform choice for our students. Our uniform is synonymous with our expectations of respect and excellence.
Formal Uniform
Students are expected to wear the formal TWPS uniform all year round, apart from on designated sport days or during scheduled sport-related activities, when they are to wear the TWPS sport uniform, or unless otherwise advised by the school.
Sport Uniform
Students are expected to wear the TWPS sport uniform on designated sport days and when otherwise advised by the school. Sport days are generally scheduled once or twice per week. Sport days for each year group will be dependent on timetabling, which will be advised by the classroom teacher. Students in Year 3 – Year 6 wear their sport uniform on Friday.
No Hat No Play
TWPS enforces a strict “no hat, no play” policy. All students are required to wear a school hat when outside the classroom or as instructed by the teachers.
Uniform Shop
The TWPS Parents and Citizens Association runs an onsite Uniform Shop at the school. The Uniform Shop is the sole stockist of TWPS formal and sport uniforms. Other general uniform items and accessories, including socks, chair bags, art smocks, and other P&C merchandise, can also be purchased at the Uniform Shop.
From time to time, the Uniform Shop may stock a special release item. Information regarding any special release item will be advertised in the School Newsletter.
Uniform Shop Opening Hours
The Uniform Shop is located adjacent to the school hall (entrance under the COLA).
The Uniform Shop is open on Thursday mornings from 8:30am until 9:30am during the school term. You can also visit the Uniform Shop by appointment. Please email uniformshop@twpspandc.org

Uniform Fitting Consultations
We recommend that you book a fitting consultation to have your child fitted for their uniform if you are new to TWPS. An experienced staff member will be available to answer any questions that you may have and to ensure your child’s uniform is correctly sized and fitted. You will be able to purchase your uniform items at the fitting appointment or at a later date.
Fitting consultations are generally available from the end of October until the end of each school year, but can also be organised at other times by arrangement. Fitting consultations can be booked in the same way as other Uniform Shop appointments (see above under Uniform Shop Opening Hours). Please email uniformshop@twpspandc.org
Ordering Uniforms Online
Online ordering of new and preloved uniform items is via Flexischools.
Kindergarten uniform packs are available for purchase from the beginning of Term 4 each year. To view these packs on Flexischools, you will need to register your incoming Kindergarten student on Flexischools as a new student for the following year.
Pricing
All pricing is available once you have registered online via Flexischools. An annual pricing review is conducted, with any changes effective as of 1st October.
The Uniform Shop accepts payments via Cash, EFTPOS, Mastercard, Visa. We can also accept payment via direct bank transfer by arrangement.
Pre-loved Uniforms
The Uniform Shop has a selection of quality, current-style pre-loved uniform items available at affordable prices. Pre-loved uniform items are priced based on quality and condition, and prices are non-negotiable. Pre-loved uniform items are sold “as is” and no refunds are available.
Pre-loved items can be purchased online via Flexischools. A selection of additional pre-loved items is available for viewing at the Uniform Shop during regular opening times or by appointment.
All proceeds from the sale of pre-loved items are allocated to a special fund dedicated to assisting school families who are experiencing financial hardship.
Returns and Exchanges (new items only)
It is important that you are satisfied with the products you have purchased from the Uniform Shop. If you are not 100% satisfied for any reason with your purchase of a new uniform item, we will happily exchange or refund your purchase in accordance with the policy below:
§ Aside from faulty items, you must return the item unworn, unused, and unwashed in its original, undamaged packaging with tags attached, within 28 days of purchase;
§ In the case of a faulty item, you must contact us to agree on arrangements for return of the item; and
§ In all cases, you must provide your proof of purchase at the time of refund or exchange.
For new purchases made during Term 4 for a child commencing Kindergarten in the following year (“Kindergarten Purchases”), we offer an extended exchange and refund period. Provided all the other return and exchange requirements set out above are met, you can organise an exchange or return on Kindergarten Purchases until the end of February in the year the child commences Kindergarten.
